South Coast, Featherdale Wildlife Park and Blue Mountains

This whole week Danielle, Emily and I are going on a different day trip everyday. On monday we went on a south coast trip. We went on a bus trip down to coast with some amazing stops along the way. We saw some amazing views at Sublime Point lookout and Bald Head, visited the first Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere, had lunch at the Wollongong Foreshore Park, walked across the scenic Sea Cliff Bridge and saw the blowhole in Kiama. It was a nice relaxing day of sightseeing and totally worth the $16 we spent for our ticket =]

Today we went on the Blue Mountains day trip. Our first stop was to the Featherdale Wildlife Park. It was absolutely amazing! I felt like such a little kid! I fed kangaroos and took a picture with a koala!! Two things I really wanted to do while in Australia! We then went to the Blue Mountains which was absolutely breathtaking! We saw the Three Sisters rock formation. Their formation is an acient tale that involves a dad with three daughters. To save their lives from a monster from the bottom of the mountains he turned them into stone. We then took a skywalk which was a cable car with a glass bottom that had great views of the mountains and waterfall! We walked over and took some touristy pictures next to a waterfall and took the skywalk back to the other side of the mountains. Next we boarded a rollercoaster.... well basically! It was the steepest railway incline in the world! I have the whole thing on video! =] We took a nice walk through the forest at the bottom of the mountains then took a cable car back up the mountain where we boarded the bus back to uni. It was such a great day and I am exausted! Tomorrow off the Port Stephens for sane dune boarding and dolphin watching!
