G'day mates!
So it is now wednesday and I have realized I am really bad at updating this blog! The past few days have been pretty stressful but also fun at the same time. I have been basically chasing down a teacher to finally allow me into their class. Took like 4 days but i am finally enrolled and ready for the first class of animal bahavior tomorrow. We finally got our house cleaned on monday and although i found a few ants downstairs this morning it is pretty clean. Clean enough that i walked downstairs without any shoes on! I had my first day of classes yesterday and so far classes here are jsut like they are at home. My microbiology teacher is actually trying the same type of teaching my Orgo teacher did last year. Hopefully it works better in Australia than it did at the SAC. My formal logic class seems pretty chill and is taught like my nature of the human person class i took last semester, so it shouldn't be that bad. Except when one of the examples talked about someone wearing a skivvy... obviously i didn't know what it was so i asked the kid next to me. He couldn't really describe what it was to me but he said it is kinda like a jumper.. You learn something new everyday! Last night i booked my first trip here with my new family! We are going to a surf camp the weekend of the 26th and i am so excited! Learning to surf was one of my top things to do when in Australia. I also wanted to try something new so tonight a group of us are going to try water polo.. It should be interesting!! The stupid bird here that sound like dying children have me up at around 730 every morning... I don't have class until 11 so lets just say i am a little pissed. At least I get to skype with my parents since it is a perfect time back home! Buying books here is so different than at SAC. Some books are upstairs in the actual bookstore while others are downstairs in this little office that always has a line out the door. So today I will probably be spending most of my time trying to buy the rest of my books. =[ Since practicals(labs) and tutorials(recitations) are cancelled for the first week i only have 1 class today which is great! I am so used to having a million classes and things to do during the week. Most of my lectures are recorded so if i feel like it i dont have to go to them. This is an option i never had at the SAC so i might be taking advantage of it! I still can't believe that I have only been here a week and have done so much already! I really hope the rest of the semester doesn't fly by! I might want to stay here forever if it does! Right now it is pretty cold but at least it is not a thunderstorm like there is as home! Well I am going to get going for my second day of classes! Lets just hope it doesn't rain!
